Low Energy Technologies

The building sector has in the last few years experienced a swift development in the area of low energy technologies, which have proven to be highly feasible, both environmentally and economically.

The key idea behind sustainable urban housing is integrated building design, which focuses on energy saving and flux optimisation opportunities, in terms of building siting and synergies between building components; such as windows, insulation, and heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems architectual and social integration of urban housing.

Low energy technologies connected to building and construction are diverse, still many are not aware of the technical potential commercially available today.

EGCN focusses on three main groups that stand out as the most important in regard to energy performance and environmental impact: energy supply, solar technologies, and building materials.
