Materials with minimal enviromental impact

Materials were selected for their low environmental impact, from renewable
sources, as well as for their longevity to reduce the need for maintenance. The
selection of materials also had to consider their performance in terms of energy
efficiency, along with their life cycle cost.
Rockwool was the specified to insulate the cavity walls, roof and floor areas.
This was selected for both its performance and environmental impact.
The table below shows U-values for the different construction elements.
