The properties have been designed to incorporate the “Lifetime Homes standard”. The properties are designed to provide flexible accommodation which is adaptable to differing needs of families and lifestyles.

The standard incorporates for example:

• Wider door openings.
• Provision of a Ground floor WC accessible to all.
• Sockets and light switches located at a suitable height.
• Floors trimmed to accommodate a future through floor lift installation.

• Space to accommodate the possibility of home working.

The properties have also been constructed to a larger standard than would normally be specified for this type of accommodation. This has been in order to provide space and choice for children to play inside the properties, rather than having to use the garden, which is adjacent the motorway.
