Secondary school - Use of heat recovery ventilation supplied by PV

Piaseczno is a suburb of Warsaw. The proximity of the commune to
agglomerations of Warsaw exerts a favourable impact on development, resulting in
the highest inner migration and large number of completed flats and houses. It
is predicted that the amount of inhabitants will increase to over 80,000 during
5 years.
In the north part of the city multi-storey housing estates are located. In the
south part of the commune (Julianów, Józefosław) complexes of 2-3 storey
buildings are located. In the south part of the commune among forests and fields
people build houses and residences on their own plots (1,000 – 4,000 square
meters)..
The project focuses on a new school building for the Municipality of Piaseczno.
The school was finished in September 2003. The school has been designed to
optimise daylight and natural ventilation. The classrooms have a good height and
the outdoor air will be taken through special ducts.
A natural gravitation ventilation system has been designed for the school with
the exception of canteen and kitchen, cloakroom and bathroom, and gymnastic hall
where a mechanically ventilation system will be implemented.

As a part of the Green Solar Region project one typical classroom has been
equipped with Heating Recovery Ventilation ECOMASTER R 800 unit for schools
supplied by PV panel. It is a compact ventilation design with low electricity
use, high efficient heat recovery, and no noise - less than 25 dB.
