After boiler house reconstruction, the new effective boilers were installed. Their operation was fully automated; the modern circulation pumps and suitable fittings were equipped. It was foreseen that boiler house reconstruction would bring about 170 MWh/year energy savings and would allow saving of approx. 20,000 Lt annually because of efficiency coefficient of the boiler, so more effective fuel usage, as well as because of automatics’ implementation that leads to exploitation costs’ reduction.

The total investments for boiler house reconstruction were 227,000 Lt. (1 euro = 3.4528 Lt).

As there was a one-pipe heating system in the building, the installation of thermostatic valves was not expedient, as well as very expensive. However more than half of the inhabitants didn’t have hot water meters, that is why metering installation was more suitable and caused more effective hot water usage.
