Centralised low temperature heating system with condensing boiler and
radiant panels
Extra insulation of the building envelope permitted to reduce the heat demand
for space heating. Therefore the solar preheating of the ventilation air in the
conservatories reduced the effective heat demand of the building.
The building is served by a low temperature heating plant consisting in a
condensing boiler that produces hot water at ≈ 50° C.
The hot water supplies a radiant space heating system in the rooms of all the
apartments.
The distribution piping has been designed as shorter as possible in order to
have lower distribution loss.
