Double standard insulation was installed around the building and in selected places additional external insulation was added serving the architectural aesthetics of the building as well. The double insulation is made of two walls of cement blocks with wall mate between, while the outer side of the building is partially cased with tiles of high thermal capacity to reduce thermal loses.

Double glazed windows and patio doors were installed to increase thermal insulation of the building.

It is important to notice that so far for the heating of the building was used oil, while from the forthcoming winter period 2005-2006 natural gas is going to be used as a fuel for heating for DEMEKAV and for all the municipal buildings and schools of the area, as well.
